Craig Bellamy believes Mohamed Salah will win the Ballon d’Or if the Egypt forward fires Liverpool FC to the Champions League title.

The African star moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has been a sensation in the Liverpool FC team following a return of 31 goals in 34 games in the Premier League.

Salah has already won the PFA player of the year ahead of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne for his outstanding performances.

Liverpool FC booked their place in the Champions League final thanks to a 7-6 aggregate win against Serie A giants AS Roma.

The Merseyside outfit will have to get past current holders Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev later this month.

Salah will face the five-time Ballon d’Or winner Crisitano Ronaldo in the Champions League showpiece.

Former Liverpool FC star Bellamy believes Salah will dethrone Ronaldo as Europe’s best player if Liverpool FC win the Champions League.

“I believe he has had that good a season if Liverpool win the Champions League, which he has chance of doing, he will have a great chance to win it,” Bellamy told Sky Sports.

“Ronaldo has attacked the Champions League. He is Ballon d’Or driven.”

Salah has scored 43 times in all competitions in the 2017-18 season to leave him four goals shy of Ian Rush’s record.
