Craig Bellamy believes Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah does deserve to be talked about in the same breath as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Salah has scored an incredible 31 goals in 34 games in the Premier League this season to leave his mark on Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The African forward was named the PFA player of the year award following Salah’s incredible debut campaign at the Anfield outfit.

Salah netted 11 times in 14 games in the Champions League this term to help Liverpool FC reach the European Cup final in Kiev.

The 25-year-old impressed in Liverpool FC’s 7-6 aggregate win against AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals.

The Egyptian forward is being touted as a potential candidate to win the Ballon d’Or alongside Ronaldo.

Former Liverpool FC star Bellamy was asked whether Salah deserves to be compared to Messi and Ronaldo for his performances this term.

Bellamy told Sky Sports: “On the basis of this season, of course [Salah does].”

Liverpool FC are looking to win the Champions League for the first time since 2005 after the Reds beat AC Milan on penalties.
