Roy Keane raves about Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool FC reach Champions League final
The Man United legend believes Liverpool FC are a reflection of their manager Jurgen Klopp
Roy Keane says Liverpool FC are a reflection of their manager Jurgen Klopp after the Reds booked their place in the Champions League final in Kiev later this month.
The Merseyside outfit were 5-2 winners against AS Roma in the first leg at Anfield after Mohamed Salah scored twice and created two goals for Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Liverpool FC travelled to the Italian capital in a strong position as Klopp looked to guide the Reds to a second European Cup final under his management.
Sadio Mane broke the deadlock in the ninth minute before James Milner’s own goal gave AS Roma a lifeline at the Stadio Olimpico.
Liverpool FC restored their lead through Georginio Wijnaldum before half-time but AS Roma moved to within one goal of extra time after Edin Dzeko scored at the start of the second half and Radja Nainggolan netted two late goals.
The Reds will take on Champions League holders Real Madrid in the final in Kiev as Liverpool FC look to win their sixth European Cup crown.
Former Manchester United captain Keane claimed that Liverpool FC are a reflection of their manager Klopp following their dramatic 7-6 aggregate win against AS Roma.
“They’ve been fantastic,” Keane told ITV Sport.
“I don’t think we would have predicted at the start of the season that they would be in the Champions League final but they’ve just grown in strength.
“I think they are great to watch, score plenty of goals, their team reflects the manager’s personality – full of energy and enthusiasm.”
