Italian outlet Calciomercato is reporting that the Reds are keen on a move to bring the 20-year-old to Anfield this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The same report says that Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a move to sign the Guinea international as both Premier League sides look to bolster their squads this summer.
Liverpool FC are reported to have already launched an enquiry about the possibility of bringing the midfielder to Anfield this summer.
Diawara has largely played second fiddle to Jorginho in the Napoli team this season and he has been limited to just five starts in Serie A for the Italian club.
Should he move to Anfield, he would like up with his fellow countryman Naby Keita, who is poised to sign for Liverpool FC from RB Leipzig at the end of the season after a deal was agreed last year.
Liverpool FC are likely to be on the lookout for midfield reinforcements, with Emre Can widely expected to leave Anfield on a free transfer at the end of the season.
