Chelsea FC manager Antonio Conte raves about Liverpool FC under Jurgen Klopp this season
Antonio Conte has complimented Jurgen Klopp for the Liverpool FC team he has assembled at Anfield.
The Reds have been one of the Premier League’s most exciting teams to watch this season and they have been in superb form in the Champions League as they reached the final in Kiev against Real Madrid.
Conte’s Chelsea FC side got the better of the Reds on Sunday afternoon when Olivier Giroud scored the only goal of the game to hand the Blues a 1-0 win over Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge.
Nevertheless, Liverpool FC have been earning plenty of new admirers with their fine form this season and the Reds are aiming to win their first trophy under Klopp when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
And Conte feels that the Reds have all the makings of a team set to challenge for the major honours in the coming seasons.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Conte said: “I think we played as a team and not with only one player against [Mohamed] Salah.
“He’s a really important player but it’s not only Salah, Firmino is a great player and Mane as well.
“They have three top strikers. They’ve scored 70 goals with these three players and reached the final of the Champions League.
“You can see great work from Jurgen, I think it’s right to give them a great compliment because they are a very good team.”
Liverpool FC will secure their place in the top four this season with a victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield next weekend.
The Reds will then switch their attentions towards preparing for their crunch Champions League final clash against Real Madrid at the end of the month.
