Emre Can’s Liverpool FC situation close to being resolved – report
Liverpool FC star Emre Can is close to being confirmed as a Juventus player, say reports
Emre Can is on the brink of being confirmed as a Juventus player as his Liverpool FC future looks in doubt, according to reports.
The Daily Express is carrying quotes from Juventus chief executive officer Giuseppe Marotta, who has apparently hinted strongly that a deal is in place to bring Can to Turin this summer.
Can’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months as he approaches the end of his current contract at Anfield.
The fact that he has not signed a new deal with the Merseyside outfit suggests that he could be set to leave the club on a free transfer this summer.
Juventus have been strongly linked with a move to sign the 24-year-old German midfielder.
And the Italian club’s CEO has appeared to confirm that a move is indeed close, saying: “Emre Can? I am very optimistic. You can read my smile…”
Despite the latest developments, it is unlikely that Juventus will confirm a deal to sign Can before the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday night.
The midfielder is currently on the way to recovery from an ankle injury and will be hoping to feature in the crunch European showdown in Kiev.
