Fabinho has admitted that he would love to see Liverpool FC conclude a deal to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer.
The Brazilian became the Reds’ first signing of the summer on Sunday evening when the Merseyside outfit announced that they had concluded a deal to land him from Monaco.
Liverpool FC have also been strongly linked with a move to sign 24-year-old France international Fekir from Lyon this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to significantly bolster his squad ahead of next season.
And the Reds’ latest summer signing Fabinho has admitted that he would love to see Liverpool FC conclude a deal to bring Fekir to Anfield this summer.
Asked in an interview with RMC Sport if he would like to see Liverpool FC sign Fekir, Fabinho replied: “Yes. He is a very good player, of international level.
“In Ligue 1, it is not only this season that he has demonstrated things.
“It’s been a few years since he demonstrates his quality. If he comes, it will be good too.”
Liverpool FC missed the chance to end the season with a trophy when they were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday night.
The Reds have booked their place in the Champions League for next season via a top-four finish in the Premier League this term.
The Merseyside outfit are likely to be linked with a number of players this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League next season.
