Liverpool FC have begun talks with Lyon to sign Nabil Fekir, according to reports
Liverpool FC have opened talks with Lyon to sign Nabil Fekir this summer, according to reports in France.
French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds are working on a deal to bring the France international to Anfield as their first signing of the summer transfer window.
The same story says that Fekir will definitely be leaving Lyon this summer, and it looks as if Anfield is the 24-year-old’s most likely destination.
However, it is also claimed in the same story that Liverpool FC have asked Lyon to put transfer talks on hold until after their participation in the Champions League final on Saturday night.
Liverpool FC are preparing to take on Real Madrid in the final in Kiev as they look to win their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
According to the same story, Lyon would be willing to let Fekir leave the club for around £60m this summer.
Fekir has been in fine form for Lyon this season, scoring 23 goals and making nine assists in all competitions for the French club.
Liverpool FC have already secured their place in the Champions League for next season by finishing in fourth place this term.
