Martin Keown has likened Trent Alexander-Arnold’s form this season for Liverpool FC to something out of a comic strip.

The young defender has been earning large amounts of praise for his strong performances for the Reds this term after having broken into the first team under Jurgen Klopp.

The 19-year-old ended up making 18 Premier League starts for Liverpool FC, scoring one goal and making one assist in the top flight for Klopp’s men.

The teenager also played a big role in helping Liverpool FC to reach the Champions League final, with the defender scoring one goal and making one assist in nine appearances in Europe’s elite club competition.

Alexander-Arnold is now preparing for the biggest game of his career so far, with Liverpool FC set to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday night.

And Arsenal legend Keown has offered some advice to the youngster as the clock ticks down on the crunch clash.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keown said: “Alexander-Arnold’s story is like something out of a comic strip.

“At the start of the season he was a young man in Liverpool’s academy. Now he is about to step out in a Champions League final and go to the World Cup.

“He must not try to over-analyse things or think about the occasion too much.

“Alexander-Arnold should just keep enjoying and relishing his game.”

Liverpool FC – who are yet to win a trophy under Klopp – finished in fourth place in the Premier League this season to secure their place in the Champions League for next term.
