Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he would be interested in a deal for Liverpool FC to sign Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona should he become available.

The Reds are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

The German manager will be aiming to put together a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season as he bids to guide his side to title glory.

Dembele moved to FC Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund but struggled during his first campaign at the Camp Nou as he was hampered by injury.

The 20-year-old attacker is now being linked with a move away from the Spanish club and Klopp has admitted that he would be interested in a move to sign Dembele should he be available this summer.

Asked whether he would be interested in signing Dembele, Klopp is quoted as saying by the Sun: “Is he on the market? Now I’m interested.”

Liverpool FC were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea FC on Sunday to put their place in the top four this season under threat.

However, the Reds will book their place in the Champions League for next season if they beat Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield in their final game of the campaign.
