The 24-year-old became Liverpool FC’s first signing of the summer transfer window on Sunday after the Reds confirmed that they had concluded a deal to bring him to Anfield from Monaco.
Fabinho will officially become a Liverpool FC player on 1 July as he looks to settle quickly into life at Anfield.
The Brazilian has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and he was touted as a target for both Manchester United and Arsenal in the past.
The Reds moved quickly to secure the signing of Fabinho at the very start of the summer transfer window.
And Klopp has revealed some of the reasons why the Reds chose to bring Fabinho to Anfield from Monaco this summer.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Fabinho said: “I like that he is young yet experienced, with a high number of games at a club that compete to win.
“Also, international caps for Brazil tells you something about him.
“This signing gives us new opportunities and for that I am excited. I’m sure our supporters will make him very welcome and at home at our wonderful club and in our amazing city.”
Liverpool FC are still coming to terms with the disappointment of their 3-1 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid on Saturday night.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League to book their place in the Champions League for next season.
