Jurgen Klopp delivers Adam Lallana injury update ahead of Chelsea FC v Liverpool FC
Jurgen Klopp delivers the latest news on Liverpool FC midfielder Adam Lallana
Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Adam Lallana is back training with the Liverpool FC first team after a long string of fitness problems this season.
Lallana travelled to Italy with the Liverpool FC squad to take part in the training sessions ahead of the Champions League showdown with AS Roma on Wednesday night, despite not being available for selection.
The England international will now continue to work alongside his colleagues as he bids to regain full fitness as soon as possible.
And Klopp has delivered the latest update about Lallana ahead of Liverpool FC’s trip to Chelsea FC in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking at his news conference before Liverpool FC’s clash with AS Roma on Wednesday night, Klopp said: “Adam Lallana is here in the training squad, but not available for the game [against Roma]. He’s in the training squad and that’s very nice.
“It shows how close he is.
“Unfortunately, the season is not too long anymore, but we’re really happy about having him with us.”
Liverpool FC are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and book their place in the Champions League for next season.
Chelsea FC are aiming to try and break back into the top four this season despite currently sitting in fifth place in the Premier League table and looking as if they are going to miss out on Champions League qualification.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the top flight last term.
