Sadio Mane has told his Liverpool FC team-mates to forget about the Champions League final and focus on beating Chelsea FC this weekend.

The Reds secured their place in the Champions League final against Real Madrid on Wednesday night thanks to a 7-6 aggregate victory over AS Roma in the semi-finals.

Liverpool FC are aiming to win the competition for a sixth time as they bid to secure their first piece of silverware under Jurgen Klopp.

However, the Reds must now switch their focus back towards Premier League affairs and their crunch showdown against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to finish in the top four for the second season running and book their place in the Champions League for next term.

And Mane has urged his team-mates to forget about the prospect of their mouth-watering final clash against Real Madrid and instead concentrate on domestic affairs until the end of the campaign.

Speaking to BT Sport on Wednesday night, Mane said: “I think it will be a little early to speak about the final because we have two more important games in the season,

“Chelsea and next week Brighton – we have to win them to stay in the top four.”

Real Madrid, who have won the Champions League in the last two years, booked their place in the final by beating Bayern Munich over two legs in the semis.
