Salah has been one of European football’s top performing players in recent months following his switch to Anfield from AS Roma last summer.
The 25-year-old has scored a staggering 43 goals in all competitions for Liverpool FC this season and netted 32 times in the Premier League to win the golden boot.
Salah was brought to Chelsea FC by Jose Mourinho when the Portuguese coach was still in charge of the west London side, before he was eventually deemed surplus to requirements and sold to AS Roma.
And the attacker has revealed that Mourinho has chatted to him twice since his move to Anfield from the Italian club last summer.
Speaking in an interview with Egypt Today, Salah said: “I did meet him twice – in our match here at Anfield [Liverpool vs Manchester United] and in the other match in Manchester.
“He told me that he is happy with what I am doing. So, I thanked him. We didn’t talk much; I just said ‘hi’ to him and he told me that he was happy for me.”
Salah will be hoping to help to fire Liverpool FC to their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final at the end of the month.
The Reds secured their spot in the Champions League for next season thanks to their 4-0 win over Brighton in front of their home fans on Sunday in their final game of the campaign.
