Liverpool FC are hoping to push through a deal to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon before the start of the World Cup in Russia next month, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Reds are keen to tie up a deal to bring the 24-year-old to Anfield this summer as they continue their recruitment drive.

Liverpool FC secured their first signing of the summer transfer window on Sunday when they announced that they had concluded a deal to bring Fabinho to Anfield from Monaco.

But there summer spending is not going to stop there, according to the same report.

The article says that Liverpool FC are keen to complete a move to sign Fekir in the next few days, and that the Reds will also ramp up their search for a top quality goalkeeper.

Loris Karius’ long-term future at Anfield has been thrown into doubt after the German was at fault for two of Liverpool FC’s goals in their Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid on Saturday.

The Reds are looking to significantly bolster their squad this summer as they bid to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
