Jurgen Klopp is backing Naby Keita to have a “big effect” on the Liverpool FC team following his transfer to Anfield this summer.

The Guinea midfielder is poised to sign for the Reds from German side RB Leipzig this summer after the Reds agreed a deal to land him last year.

Keita is set to officially become a Liverpool FC player at the end of the season and Reds fans will be keen to see the impact he will have at Anfield next season.

The midfielder is set to link up with his new team-mates in the coming months and Klopp is tipping Keita to be a top player for the Reds in the seasons to come.

Speaking at a news conference at Melwood before Chelsea FC’s clash with Liverpool FC on Sunday, Klopp said: “Naby has the quality to have a big effect on the team immediately when he arrives.

“He is not playing the World Cup so he will have a full pre-season with us, which will help him a lot.”

Liverpool FC are aiming to end the season on a high note by beating Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev.

The Reds are also looking to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season after what has been a largely positive campaign for Klopp’s side.

Liverpool FC will be aiming to mount a serious Premier League title challenge next season under Klopp.
