Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken to social media to update Liverpool FC fans about his recovery from knee surgery.

The midfielder went under the knife after sustaining a serious knee injury during Liverpool FC’s Champions League clash with AS Roma at Anfield.

The injury has ruled the England international out of action for the rest of the season and he will miss the Champions League final clash against Real Madrid, as well as the World Cup in Russia.

However, the England star is already clearly thinking positively as he took to social media to update fans about his recovery from injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Watching the boys in Rome last week taking us one step closer to something very special.

“Knee surgery was a success and the hard work has already begun 💪🏽.”

Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their final Premier League game of the season against Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds will secure a top-four finish in the Premier League if they are able to avoid defeat against Chris Hughton’s men.

Liverpool FC will then turn their attentions towards their crunch Champions League final clash against Real Madrid in Kiev at the end of the month.

The Reds are still looking to win their first trophy since Klopp’s appointment back in October 2015.
