Rio Ferdinand has admitted that he is worried about Liverpool FC’s incredible progress under Jurgen Klopp as a Manchester United man.

The Reds have been earning huge amounts of praise for their strong form this season under the German manager and they have been celebrating reaching the Champions League final in recent days.

Klopp’s side triumphed over AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals to set up a final showdown against Real Madrid in Kiev at the end of the month as Klopp looks to bring his first trophy to Anfield.

Liverpool FC have shown plenty of progress of late under Klopp and the Reds are also on course to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League table this season.

Ferdinand is full of admiration for what Klopp has been achieving at Anfield in recent weeks, but the former Manchester United defender admits that he is slightly concerned about what the future holds for the Reds.

Speaking to BT Sport last week, former Manchester United star Ferdinand said: “It’s great to see, but as an ex-Man United player, it’s frightening because this could be the start of something special at Liverpool.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Chelsea FC on Sunday afternoon as they look to try and end the season on a high by claiming a top-four finish.
