Gary Lineker congratulated Mohamed Salah on a “fabulous” achievement after the Egypt international netted his 32nd Premier League goal of the season for Liverpool FC against Brighton on Sunday.

The 25-year-old has been in sensational form for the Reds this term after having signed for the Merseyside outfit from AS Roma last summer.

Salah has been one of European football’s top performing players this season and has rightly been earning huge amounts of praise for his displays.

He broke the deadlock in the 4-0 win over Brighton at Anfield to add to goals from Dejan Lovren, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson as Liverpool FC confirmed their place in the top four this season and sealed their spot in the Champions League.

And Lineker took to social media to hail Salah’s achievement after his stunning debut campaign at Anfield.

England legend Lineker posted the following update on Twitter during Sunday’s game: “Liverpool score and @MoSalah breaks the record with his 32nd goal of the season, beating @Cristiano @alanshearer & @LuisSuarez9. Fabulous achievement.”

Liverpool will now turn their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and their crunch showdown against Real Madrid in Kiev at the end of the month.

The Reds are aiming to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp when they take on the Spanish giants at the end of the month.
