Andy Robertson fires clear warning at Real Madrid about Liverpool FC
Andy Robertson warns Real Madrid that Liverpool FC are ready to beat them in the Champions League final
Andy Robertson has warned Real Madrid that Liverpool FC are fully confident that they will be able to beat the Spanish giants and win the Champions League.
The Reds are currently preparing for their crunch clash against the Spanish giants in Kiev at the end of the month as they look to try and prevent the La Liga side from winning the competition for the third season running.
Liverpool FC head into the game fresh from having secured their place in the Champions League next season with a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Robertson netted in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win over Brighton at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to help inspire the Reds to a comfortable win in their final game of the season.
And Robertson has admitted that he and his team-mates can now turn their attentions fully towards the Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday 26 May.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website after Sunday’s game, Robertson said: “It’s so hard to keep your mind off it [the final] but we had to this week because we knew how important the Brighton game was.
“But now we can all get excited; the fans, families, friends, the players and everyone around the club can really get excited for this big game.
“We’ll be ready. We’ve got a long two weeks; we’ll be in the best possible shape and we look forward to seeing what we can do.”
Liverpool FC are still seeking to win their first trophy under Jurgen Klopp following his appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
Robertson has been in good form for Liverpool FC since having signed for the Reds from Hull City in the summer transfer window last year.
