The Reds will take on the current holders in the Champions League showpiece in Kiev following their thrilling 7-6 aggregate win against Serie A giants AS Roma in the last four on Wednesday night.
Liverpool FC were 5-2 winners against the Italian giants in the first leg at Anfield thanks to goals from their prolific front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane on Merseyside.
The Reds squandered a lead twice during the second leg as AS Roma ended up 4-2 winners but Liverpool FC managed to secure their place in the Champions League showpiece later this month.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have scored more goals than any other team in the Champions League this season but questions remain about Trent Alexander-Arnold, Loris Karius and Dejan Lovren in Rome.
While Ferdinand appeared to suggest Real Madrid are favourites to beat Liverpool FC in the Champions League final, the Manchester United legend warned the current holders that the Reds will be ready to exploit any mistakes.
“Real Madrid will be sitting there and thinking that they have to be on it,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“If they’re not on it fully, they can come unstuck against this Liverpool team.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Champions League title since 2005 under Rafael Benitez in Istanbul.
