Liverpool FC are ready to table a £35m offer to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Italy.
Italian media website Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Liverpool FC want to sign the Italy international to resolve their long-running issues in goal.
German goalkeeper Loris Karius has made the number one spot his own in the second half of the season but questions remain about whether the 24-year-old is the long-term answer for Jurgen Klopp.
AC Milan starlet Donnarumma has established himself as an exciting talent in Serie A and the Italian goalkeeper has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon.
The same article states that Liverpool FC could also offer AC Milan a player in an attempt to secure Donnarumma’s signature but Calciomercato don’t list which Liverpool FC star would be used as a makeweight in any potential deal.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC have already held discussions with infamous Italian agent Mino Raiola with a view to a summer transfer.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a Champions League spot in successive seasons.
