Graeme Souness has warned Jurgen Klopp that Liverpool FC will need to improve their squad strength in the summer transfer window.

The Reds have failed to win their last four Premier League games after three stalemates and one loss over the past month or so.

Liverpool FC lost 1-0 to top-four rivals Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge last weekend after Olivier Giroud scored a first-half winner.

The Merseyside outfit will be looking to keep their key personnel fit ahead of their clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Klopp’s men will have to beat Brighton and Hove Albion in their final Premier League game to be assured of a top-four finish.

Former Liverpool FC manager Souness believes the Reds need to improve their squad depth in the summer transfer window.

“Liverpool don’t have the strongest squad,” Souness told Sky Sports. “He will need to strengthen in the summer.”

Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.

The Reds were 7-6 aggregate winners against Serie A giants AS Roma in the Champions League last four.

The Reds lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Sevilla in the Europa League final in 2015 in Klopp’s first full season in charge.
