Jurgen Klopp replies when quizzed about Liverpool FC's summer transfer plans this year
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Liverpool FC will look to make a number of signings this summer as he looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League.
The Reds have been earning huge amounts of praise for their strong performances this season as they booked their place in the top four in the Premier League table.
The Merseyside outfit secured their place in the Champions League for next season by beating Brighton 4-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to seal fourth place.
Liverpool FC will now look to try and end the season on a high when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday 26 May.
Attentions will then inevitably turn towards the summer transfer window and the possible signings Liverpool FC could make to bolster their squad.
Klopp has confirmed that the Reds will indeed be active this summer but also underlined the importance of Liverpool FC continuing to develop their current crop of players.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Klopp said: “We need more players here and there.
“But I’m still a big believer in developing the team. These boys did a big step and I’m sure that we can do another step.”
Liverpool FC are still aiming to win their first trophy since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
The Reds now have just under two weeks to prepare for their crunch clash against Real Madrid at the end of the month.
