Mark Lawrenson claims Liverpool FC would consider £150m offer for Mo Salah
The Liverpool FC legend claims the Reds would consider £150m offer for Mohamed Salah
Liverpool FC would have to consider a £150m offer for Mohamed Salah, according to Mark Lawrenson.
The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC from Serie A giants AS Roma in a £39m deal in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The Reds forward scored on his debut in a 3-3 draw with Watford in their opening game of the Premier League season.
The Liverpool FC star has been in sensational form in the 2017-18 season following a return of 31 goals in 34 games this term.
Salah has equalled the record of Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer and Luis Suarez, who all netted 31 times in the Premier League campaign.
The African forward has netted 11 times in the Champions League to help Jurgen Klopp’s side reach the semi-finals of the competition.
Salah has been linked with a potential move to La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
FC Barcelona signed Liverpool FC number 10 Philippe Coutinho in a £142m deal in the January transfer window.
Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson believes the Reds would consider an offer in excess of £150m for Salah.
“Jurgen Klopp has already said he’s going nowhere,” Lawrenson told Paddy Power.
“But if somebody offers £150m for Salah you have to think about it because players are bought and sold and they all have a value.
“Certainly, Liverpool wouldn’t want to sell him, and Klopp’s said he’s not for sale, but Suarez wasn’t for sale, Coutinho wasn’t for sale. These things change.”
Salah has netted 43 times in all competitions in the current campaign to hit the ground running at the Anfield outfit.
