Gary Lineker explains why he is such a huge fan of Liverpool FC star Roberto Firmino
Gary Lineker believes that Roberto Firmino is one of the finest strikers in world football following his brilliant form for Liverpool FC this season.
The Brazilian forward has been one of European football’s top performers this season and he has been earning huge amounts of praise for his displays for the Merseyside outfit.
Firmino has bene in fine form this season for Liverpool FC, scoring 27 goals and making 16 assists in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
His brilliant displays this term have also helped Liverpool FC to reach the Champions League final, with the Reds set to take on Real Madrid in the showpiece in Kiev this Saturday evening.
And England legend Lineker has explained just why he is such a big fan of Firmino following his sparkling form this season.
Lineker is quoted as saying by the Daily Star: “I think he’s one of the best all-round strikers in world football.
“He’s terrific. An all-round striker.
“Yes, obviously he’s been overshadowed a little bit by Salah’s great season. But you can say the same for Sadio Mane.”
Liverpool FC are aiming to beat Real Madrid and end the season on a high after their fourth-placed finish in the Premier League.
The Reds are still aiming to win their first trophy under Klopp since the German’s appointment at Anfield as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent successor in the autumn of 2015.
Liverpool FC have finished fourth for the second season running.
