The 25-year-old has been one of European football’s top performing players this season following his move to Anfield from AS Roma in the summer transfer window last year.
Salah has scored a staggering 23 goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s men to help them up into third place in the Premier League table and through to the Champions League final.
The Reds are aiming to finish in third place this season and also beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Salah’s first season at the club.
Few could have imagined the impact that Salah would have at Anfield following his transfer to the club from the Italian side last summer.
And Redknapp believes that it is down to something “special” at Liverpool FC which has helped to bring out the best from the Egypt international, who has been voted as the PFA player of the year.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “There’s something about Liverpool football club. It can transform players and take them to a whole new level.
“Yes, Jurgen Klopp has this amazing ability to extract that little bit extra out of everyone, but we’re seeing with Mohamed Salah right now what can happen when the Liverpool fans really get behind a player.”
He continued: “That’s what’s happened to Salah this season. He’s been sensational.
“And it will be fantastic to see him and the whole Liverpool team go head to head with Real Madrid in the Champions League final, an incredible moment for those players, the fans and everyone involved.”
Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their crunch trip to Chelsea FC in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they look to cement a top-four finish in the top flight.
