Jordan Henderson is convinced that Liverpool FC have what it takes to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final this month.

The Reds secured their spot in the showpiece in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night when they secured a 7-6 aggregate victory over AS Roma in the semi-final tie, despite losing the second leg 4-2.

Liverpool FC will now turn their attentions towards the final showdown against holders Real Madrid in Kiev on Saturday 26 May as they bid to try and win the competition for the sixth time.

The Merseyside outfit are yet to win their first trophy under Klopp and they will be looking to end the season on a high by winning the Champions League.

Henderson admits that the Reds are going to have their work cut out against the La Liga giants, but the midfielder insists that Liverpool FC are more than capable of beating the defending champions.

Speaking to BT Sport on Wednesday night, Henderson said: “Madrid in the final of course won’t be easy.

“They’re a fantastic team, but we’re going to go there with confidence and just give everything.”

Liverpool FC will now switch their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their crunch clash against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and secure their spot in the top four.
