Gary Neville has admitted that winning the Champions League would be an amazing achievement for Liverpool FC this season.

The Reds are preparing to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday night as they look to end the season in the best possible fashion.

The Merseyside outfit are aiming to prevent the Spanish side from becoming the first team in history to win the competition for three seasons running.

Liverpool FC have been earning huge amounts of praise for their fine performances en route to the final this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s men having beaten the likes of Manchester City, FC Porto and AS Roma on the way.

The Reds have been preparing for the game after having secured their place in the top four this season to book their place in the Champions League for next term.

Liverpool FC are looking to win the competition for the first time since their famous triumph in Istanbul back in 2005.

And former Manchester United defender Neville has conceded that it would be an amazing achievement for the Reds to lift the trophy this season.

Speaking on his Sky Sports Podcast, Neville said: “The season will defined by what happens against Real Madrid.

“It would be incredible for Liverpool. It is an amazing achievement for any club. Credit to Liverpool after losing Philippe Coutinho.”

Liverpool are yet to win their first trophy under Klopp.
