Manchester United and Liverpool FC are among the teams battling for the signature of Jorginho this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Times is reporting that Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Tottenham, Chelsea FC, Arsenal and Manchester City are all interested in signing the Napoli midfielder this summer.

The same report, however, says that Manchester City are currently believed to be the front-runners in the race to sign Jorginho this summer.

According to the same story, Napoli have set an asking price of around €60m (£52.9m) ahead of the summer transfer window.

It seems that a move to the Premier League for Jorginho could well be on the cards, with the main contenders in the Premier League all reportedly vying for his signature.

The Brazil-born Italy international has been in fine form for Napoli this season and has scored three goals and made four assists in all competitions for the Serie A side, to help them mount a title challenge.

Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for some midfield reinforcements this summer, with Michael Carrick set to retire and Marouane Fellaini yet to sign a new contract with the Old Trafford club.
