Manchester United have told both Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian that they are free to leave the club this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Times is reporting that the Red Devils are already preparing for life without the defensive duo as Jose Mourinho looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.

The same report says that talks have already begun with Serie A giants Juventus about signing Italy defender Darmian this summer.

According to the same story, neither player was involved in the club’s photoshoot for next season’s kits, prompting suggestions that their futures at Old Trafford are in serious doubt.

The article also says that Mourinho is determined to add two full-backs to his squad this summer as he looks to strengthen his side ahead of his third season at the club.

Manchester United are currently aiming to finish as runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League table and secure what would be their highest finish since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

The Red Devils are also hoping to win the FA Cup title this season and they will take on Chelsea FC in the final at Wembley later this month.
