Sky Sports reporter delivers update on 30-year-old Man United star
Dharmesh Sheth delivers the latest news on Marouane Fellaini's contract situation at Man United
Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that Marouane Fellaini’s future remains up in the air at Manchester United.
The Belgian midfielder’s future has been a constant source of speculation in recent months due to the fact that his current contract is set to expire this summer.
Fellaini is believed to have turned down the offer of a new deal at Old Trafford but he has not ruled out signing a new contract.
There has been lots of speculation that Manchester United could be set to sign midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk this summer.
And Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has revealed that the signing of the Brazilian would only serve to increase the speculation about Fellaini’s future at the club.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Window podcast, Sheth said: “They haven’t sorted out that contract…
“If Fred comes in, there will be even more questions marks over Fellaini.”
Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players this summer as the Red Devils look to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
It was something of a disappointing campaign for the Red Devils last term as they ended up second in the Premier League table and without a trophy in Jose Mourinho’s second season in charge.
They lost the FA Cup final 1-0 to Chelsea FC last month.
