Jose Mourinho makes Man United decision on Ander Herrera – report
Ander Herrera has regained Jose Mourinho's trust at Man United, according to reports
Ander Herrera has regained Jose Mourinho’s trust at Manchester United in recent weeks, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Spanish midfielder has been re-earning the trust of his manager by correctly following instructions from the Portuguese coach in recent weeks.
Herrera has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team this season and has been limited to only 12 Premier League starts for Mourinho’s men.
The signing of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea FC pushed Herrera further down the pecking order this season, meaning that he had to settle for a more regular role on the bench.
However, the Spaniard has been restored to the starting line-up in recent weeks and according to the same story, Mourinho has been delighted by the way in which he has been performing for his side.
Herrera’s contract at Old Trafford was due to expire at the end of the season but Manchester United triggered and option to extend it by a further year.
The midfielder will be hoping to help Manchester United end the season on a high by beating Chelsea FC to win the FA Cup at the end of the month.
