Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Lewandowski is weighing up his options ahead of the summer transfer window and could choose to quit the club.
The same report says that Manchester United could be a possible destination for the 29-year-old striker, who is widely regarded as one of European football’s top marksmen.
The story claims that Bayern could be willing to let the forward leave the club this summer, despite them having previously insisted that he is not for sale at any price.
Lewandowski has been in incredible form for the Bundesliga side this season, scoring 29 goals and making one assist in 29 league games for the German outfit.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will indeed look to strengthen their attacking options once again this summer, with the Red Devils having signed the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in the last two transfer windows.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are still aiming to end the season with a trophy and they will take on Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at the end of the month.
