Alexis Sanchez is all but guaranteed a starting spot in the Manchester United team for their clash with Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final on Saturday, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is claiming that Sanchez is all but certain to start the game because his phenomenal record at Wembley in recent years.

Sanchez won the FA Cup twice with Arsenal before his controversial transfer to Manchester United from the Gunners in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old Chile international has only scored three goals for Manchester United since his switch to Old Trafford, but one of them came in the semi-final victory over Tottenham at Wembley last month.

Sanchez’s record at the national stadium is phenomenal, with the former FC Barcelona star having netted eight times in just six games at Wembley.

And the same report says that Sanchez is all but guaranteed a starting spot at Wembley before of that record, even if his form at Old Trafford so far has not been brilliant.

Manchester United head into the game after having sealed a second-placed finish in the Premier League this season.

They will now be thinking about bolstering their squad in the summer transfer window as they look to challenge for the title next term.
