Zlatan Ibrahimovic is backing Manchester United to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month.

Both teams have struggled to produce consistent form in the Premier League this season, with the Red Devils currently aiming to finish as runners-up to champions Manchester City.

Chelsea FC, meanwhile, have been in stuttering form during Antonio Conte’s second campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge and they currently find themselves in fifth place and on course to miss out on a place in the Champions League for next season.

Both sides will be looking to end the season on a high by lifting the FA Cup trophy at the end of the month.

Chelsea FC are aiming to go one step further and win the final this term after having been beaten by Arsenal in the showpiece last year.

However, Ibrahimovic seems to be confident that his former employers will be able to do what is necessary to beat Chelsea FC and win the FA Cup title this term.

Ibrahimovic is quoted as saying by Metro: “Good to see that you [Man United] are doing well, you have made it to the final, which I like a lot, even if I am not there.

“Here everything is OK, here it is sunny every day. I hope you guys also enjoy your weather!

“I hope you win the final and the mentality continues from last year. I just want to make sure that everything is alright and good – but I can see it so I am not worried.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United will take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Friday night, while Chelsea FC are set to host Liverpool FC in a crunch clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
