Man United offered chance to sign 32-year-old Croatian – report

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Mario Mandzukic from Juventus, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Serie A side have offered the Red Devils the chance to land the 32-year-old Croatian as they close in on a deal to sign Matteo Darmian from the Red Devils.
According to the same story, talks have already taken place over a deal for Juventus to sign defender Darmian from Manchester United in a £12m deal.
The article claims that Juventus have asked Manchester United whether they would be interested in singing Mandzukic, who is reportedly looking for a new challenge.
However, there is also the claim that Juventus are planning to tie down left-back Alex Sandro to a new contract, a move which dampens the Red Devils’ hopes of signing the Brazilian this summer.
Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for a number of signings this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to put together a team capable of winning the title next term.
The Red Devils, who were second this term, have not lifted the Premier League title since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson in the 2012-13 season.
