Jose Mourinho has given the green light to Manchester United selling Matteo Darmian to Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils boss is prepared to let the 28-year-old Italy international leave Old Trafford this summer as he looks to revamp his squad.

The same story says that Darmian’s proposed move to Turin, where he used to play for Torino, is now approaching completion after Mourinho agreed to led the Red Devils sell the defender.

Manchester United are likely to be linked with a number of signings this summer as Mourinho looks to bolster his squad for next season.

But there are also bound to be a number of outgoings at Old Trafford this summer as the Red Devils look to transform themselves into a team capable of winning the title next season.

Darmian struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford this season and his proposed exit from the club is unlikely to come as much of a surprise to Manchester United fans.

Manchester United finished in second place in the Premier League this season and without a trophy.
