Jose Mourinho wants Man United to complete five summer signings – report
The Manchester United manager wants to sign five players in the summer transfer window, according to a report in England
Jose Mourinho has set his sights on five summer signings to improve his Manchester United squad ahead of the 2018-19 season, according to a report in England.
The Telegraph, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that Mourinho is looking to bring in five new additions to help Manchester United challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.
The same article states Mourinho is looking to sign two full-backs, a central defender, a midfielder and a winger to overhaul his Red Devils team following a disappointing second season at Old Trafford.
Manchester United could sell Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind in the summer, while Belgium international Marouane Fellaini could leave on a free transfer unless the defensive midfielder signed a new deal.
According to the same story, Manchester United are looking at Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred and Napoli holding midfielder Jorginho as potential recruits to bolster Mourinho’s options in the middle of the park.
The Red Devils are also planning to raid Tottenham Hotspur to sign defensive duo Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose, according to The Telegraph.
The report names Chelsea FC winger Willian and Nice star Jean Michael Seri as two summer targets for the 20-time English champions.
