Man United could ship out Lindelof to make room for 30-year-old sold by Van Gaal – report
Manchester United could send Victor Lindelof out on loan as they look to re-sign Jonny Evans, say reports
Manchester United are ready to ship Victor Lindelof out on loan to make room for Jonny Evans at Old Trafford this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Red Devils are ready to part company with Swedish defender Lindelof on loan after just one season as they look to bring Evans back to Old Trafford.
The same report says that Manchester United have their sights firmly set on re-signing West Bromwich Albion defender Evans, who left Old Trafford to sign for the Baggies when Louis van Gaal was still in charge back in August 2015.
According to the same story, the defender will certainly leave The Hawthorns this season if the Baggies are relegated – and a clause in his contract means he could be available for as little as £3m.
The same story also says that there are a “host” of top European clubs who would be willing to take Lindelof on loan for next season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are targeting a second-placed finish in the Premier League table as they look to also win the FA Cup this term.
The Red Devils will take on Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month.
