Man United hope to beat Liverpool FC to top 25-year-old goalkeeper – report
Manchester United want to beat Liverpool FC to the signing of Alisson in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Italy
Manchester United are hoping to complete a big-money deal to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson ahead of Liverpool FC, according to a report in Italy.
Gazzetto dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Manchester United are contemplating a swoop to sign the Brazil international should David De Gea leave Old Trafford this summer.
The same article states that the Red Devils are putting a contingency plan in place should Champions League finalists Real Madrid manage to convince De Gea to move to the Bernabeu Stadium this summer.
According to the same story, Manchester United have expressed an interest in the £70m-rated goalkeeper ahead of the 2018 summer transfer window following Alisson’s excellent season in Rome.
Liverpool FC have been linked with a host of goalkeepers in recent months after Loris Karius’ unconvincing start to his Reds career.
However, the German goalkeeper has usurped Simon Mignolet as Liverpool FC’s first-choice goalkeeper over the past few months.
But the Reds continue to be touted with an interest in the Brazilian shot stopper ahead of the conclusion of the top-four campaign.
Liverpool FC will take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final after beating Alisson and AS Roma in the last four.
