Manchester United are likely to be linked with a number of players this summer as Mourinho looks to significantly bolster his squad ahead of next season.
And Mourinho delivered the latest update on his summer transfer plans when speaking in a post-match interview following Saturday’s defeat.
Mourinho told MUTV: “The market is very difficult – every player of medium quality is expensive.
“Obviously we are going to try and make some adjustments.”
Manchester United were Manchester City’s closest challengers in the Premier League this season, but they still ended up 19 points behind Pep Guardiola’s men, who ended the campaign with 100 points on the board.
