Man United line up world-record move to sign 26-year-old Brazilian – report
Manchester United are lining up a bid to try and land Neymar from PSG this summer, say reports
Manchester United are lining up a huge bid to try and bring Neymar to Old Trafford from PSG this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are prepared to pay a world-record fee in excess of £200m to bring the 26-year-old attacker to Old Trafford.
The same story says that Real Madrid are also in the race to sign the attacker, who signed for PSG from FC Barcelona only last year.
However, the same report says that Manchester United’s hopes of signing Neymar this summer are boosted by the fact that the club has a working relationship with Neymar Santos Senior.
The story also says that Neymar has his heart set on a move away from PSG this summer just a year after having completed his world-record transfer to the French capital.
The 26-year-old has scored 28 goals and made 16 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions for PSG since his move to the club last year.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their FA Cup final showdown against Chelsea FC at Wembley next weekend as they look to end Jose Mourinho’s second season at the club with a trophy.
