Manchester United have made a £96m bid to try and sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Mediaset Premium, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Red Devils could make the 23-year-old their club record signing this summer.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the midfielder for some time, and the same report says that the Red Devils are eager to try and conclude as much of their transfer business as possible before the start of the World Cup in Russia next month.
The same story says that Manchester United have watched Milinkovic-Savic in action more than 12 times this season as they ponder a move for the Serbia international.
It is claimed that the Red Devils have already tabled a bid of £96m plus bonuses as they look to try and prise the midfielder away from Lazio this summer.
Manchester United are likely to be linked with a host of players this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to try and assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League next season.
The Red Devils ended up in second place in the Premier League table this season and without a trophy after Mourinho’s second campaign in charge at the club.
