Martin Keown is backing Manchester United to beat Chelsea FC and win the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues and the Red Devils are set to go head to head at Wembley this weekend as the two Premier League rivals compete for the final piece of domestic silverware on offer this season.

Manchester United head into the game fresh from having secured their highest finish in the Premier League since 2013 after ending up as runners-up to Manchester City.

Chelsea FC, meanwhile, are looking to end what has been a disappointing campaign on a high by lifting a trophy after they ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table.

Manchester United are targeting their third major trophy under Jose Mourinho as they prepare for Saturday’s crunch clash with the Blues.

And former Arsenal star Keown feels that Manchester United have a slight edge heading into the FA Cup final clash this weekend.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keown said: “I am erring towards Manchester United. Having watched Chelsea against Newcastle on Sunday, those players just don’t look like they are enjoying their football anymore.

“Chelsea would struggle to come back from an early United goal. That said, there still undoubted quality in this Chelsea team.

“I just hope this does not become a game of football chess between the two managers. Otherwise we could be at Wembley until midnight!

“There are players in both teams capable of individual brilliance and I hope they can rise above the tactical war.

“I can see this one going all the way. I’m going for a 1-1 draw with United winning on penalties… though I hope it’s settled in normal time!”

Both Manchester United and Chelsea FC are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as both clubs look to assemble squads capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
