Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to finish off the season with a comfortable win over Watford at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils were held to a disappointing goalless draw with West Ham United at the London Stadium mid-week.

Their point was enough to secure second place in the Premier League table ahead of Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United will take on bitter rivals Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month.

Jose Mourinho will be looking for his players to put on a performance as the Portuguese head coach looks to select his starting XI for the Wembley showpiece.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Manchester United to ease to a comfortable win over Watford at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday.

“United were in PL action at the London Stadium on Thursday evening but – irrespective of the score against West Ham – I expect to see Jose Mourinho’s side go into the FA Cup Final on the back of a comfortable win,” Owen told BetVictor.

“Watford have gone seven away league games without scoring a goal (Andre Gray January 2nd at Manchester City) and it is hard to make a case for the Hornets at Old Trafford.”

The Red Devils signed Chile international Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Manchester United lost 2-1 to La Liga side Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16 earlier this season.

Mourinho is looking to win his third trophy since taking over the reins at the Old Trafford outfit back in May 2016.

The Red Devils won the League Cup and the Europa League last term.
