Sky Sports reporter delivers latest update on next Arsenal manager
Kaveh Solhekol reveals the three leading candidates to take over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal
Luis Enrique and Massimiliano Allegri are the leading candidates to take over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The Gunners are currently in the process of looking for a new boss after Wenger confirmed that he will be stepping down at the end of the season after almost 22 years in charge at the club.
Arsenal are yet to make any official comment about who is going to be taking over from the Frenchman at The Emirates as they look to appoint a manager capable of leading them to a Premier League title challenge next season.
Former FC Barcelona boss Enrique has been strongly linked with the job, as has Juventus manager Allegri.
Now, Sky Sports reporter Solhekol has also claimed that former Gunners captain Mikel Arteta is also in the running to take over at The Emirates.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Arsenal want Massimiliano Allegri or Luis Enrique to be their next manager but both have concerns about taking the job because of the club’s management structure.
“Mikel Arteta remains a leading candidate to replace Arsene Wenger.”
Arsenal will play their final game under Wenger when they travel to Huddersfield Town in the top flight on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have missed out on a top four finish for the second season running under the French manager to leave them facing another campaign without Champions League football.
