Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to turn down the chance to manage Chelsea FC and remain committed to Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report in England.

The Daily Star is reporting that the Argentinian head coach won’t make the controversial switch across the English capital to take over the reins at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea FC are thought to be on the lookout on a new manager with Antonio Conte thought to be leaving the west London side at the end of the 2017-18 season.

The same article states that Tottenham will reject Chelsea FC’s advances for their talented manager despite Pochettino’s frustration at a lack of transfer funds.

According to the same story, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is ready to back Pochettino in the transfer market to ensure the former Southampton boss remains in north London.

Pochettino has led Tottenham to second spot in the 2015-16 campaign before consecutive third-placed finishes in the last two seasons to ensure regular Champions League football.

For all Pochettino’s success at Tottenham since taking over the reins at White Hart Lane, the Argentinian coach is still waiting to get his hands on his first trophy at Spurs.

Spurs finished in third place ahead of Liverpool FC this term.
