Michael Owen is backing Harry Kane to score at least two goals in Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Leicester City on Sunday.

The England international has finished as the Premier League’s top goal-scorer in the last two seasons following a return of 25 goals in 2015-16 and 29 goals in 2016-17.

However, the 24-year-old has netted 28 times in 36 appearances in the English top flight ahead of the visit of the Foxes at Wembley this weekend.

But Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah is three goals ahead of the England star ahead of the Merseyside outfit’s home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.

Kane will need to score a hat-trick to equal Salah’s tally and hope the Egypt international extends his goal drought to four games in all competitions.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Kane to net at least two goals against the Foxes at Wembley on Sunday.

“Spurs have lost just one of their last 17 home Premier League games and I expect them to maintain that record against a Leicester side who ended a run of 22 league games without a win against Arsenal when they beat the Gunners at the King Power midweek,” Owen told BetVictor.

“Harry Kane will be going all out to keep his Golden Boot crown but he goes into the final set of fixtures three goals behind the Footballer of the Year Mo Salah and that is likely to be too much for the England striker to overhaul.”

Kane scored seven goals in Tottenham’s final two Premier League games of the 2016-17 season.

Spurs lost 2-1 to Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley last month.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side suffered a 4-3 aggregate loss to Serie A giants Juventus in the Champions League round of 16.
