Arsenal, Liverpool FC monitor 17-year-old Serie A teenager – report
Arsenal and Liverpool FC are keeping tabs on AS Roma teenager Matteo Cardinali, according to a report
Arsenal and Liverpool FC are both keeping tabs on AS Roma teenager Matteo Cardinali, according to a report in Italy.
Italian website Tutto Mercato Web, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Premier League duo are scouting the 17-year-old with view to a potential swoop for the AS Roma starlet.
The same article states that Cardinali is rated highly by members of AS Roma’s academy and the Serie A giants would presumably be reluctant to let the Italian leave the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
According to the same story, Arsenal and Liverpool FC both view AS Roma youth star Cardinali as a signing for the future.
Liverpool FC have been heavily linked with a move to sign Brazil international Alisson Becker throughout the summer transfer window so far to improve what has been a problem position.
However, the Champions League runners up face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Reds have signed Brazil international Fabinho from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in a £39m deal earlier in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
